THE SHORT VERSION
QuantX sets no cookies on member accounts. There is no advertising, no analytics and no cross-site tracking on this website. Two functional items are kept in your browser's local storage — one keeps you signed in, one remembers whether you chose light or dark — and both stay on your device. Staff signing in to our internal tools do receive one strictly-necessary session cookie; it is described in section 1.

1. Cookies

In short: None for members. One for staff, and only for signing in.

This website sets no cookies for analytics, for advertising, or for tracking — there are none of those anywhere on it, and nothing here asks for consent because nothing here profiles you.

If you are a member, signing in does not set a cookie at all. Your session is held in local storage and sent explicitly by the page; see section 2.

If you are QuantX staff, signing in to our internal tools sets one session cookie. It exists only to hold that staff session, it is strictly necessary for those tools to work, and it is removed when you sign out. It cannot be read by scripts and is only ever sent over HTTPS. It is never set for members, it is never used for analytics, and it is not a cookie on this website.

2. What we do store, and why

In short: Two items in local storage. One keeps you signed in, one remembers light or dark.

Your sign-in token — written when you sign in, read to authenticate you, and removed when you sign out. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page. It is strictly necessary for the site to work while signed in.

Your appearance choice — whether you chose Light, Dark, or System. Written only when you use the theme control in the corner of the page, and read on load so the page does not flash the wrong colour. Absent until you choose; while it is absent the site simply follows your operating system's setting. It contains one word and identifies nobody.

Both live in your browser's local storage on your own device. Neither is a cookie, so neither is attached to network requests automatically, and neither is readable by any other website.

3. Clearing it

In short: Sign out, or clear site data in your browser.

Signing out removes your sign-in token. Clearing site data for quantxusa.com in your browser settings removes both items; the only effect is that you will be signed out, and your appearance choice returns to following your operating system. Staff who clear site data for our internal tools are signed out of those tools.

4. Third-party requests this site makes

In short: Fonts, downloads, and the API. Nothing that profiles you.

  • Google Fonts — the typefaces. Google receives the request metadata needed to serve a font file, including your IP address.
  • The QuantX API — for signed-in features. Receives your session token so it can identify your account.
  • The QuantX download host — when you download the desktop app.
  • Cloudflare — serves and protects this site, so it processes request metadata including your IP address.

None of these are advertising or profiling services, and no third-party tracking script runs on this site.

5. The desktop application

In short: Your trading data never leaves your machine.

The QuantX desktop app stores your trades, journal entries, backtests and settings locally on your computer. They are not uploaded to QuantX. The app contacts our API for account, entitlement and market-data purposes only.
